This award is named in memory of Rajshri Khote, lovingly called Munni Pua, Harpreet Chhachhia’s elder aunt. She was a beacon of kindness, opening her doors to GayBombay when the community was once cast out of a public space. From that day on, her home became synonymous with comfort, acceptance, and family — a tradition that carried on for 27 years, with tea, samosas, and unconditional love. Though she passed away in March 2019, her legacy lives on through this award, which honours straight allies who have given their love and support to the queer community.
