Special Mother’s Day Meet by Gay Bombay – A Gathering of Love, Stories & Shared Journeys
We’re excited to announce a heartwarming and unique Gay Bombay Meet on Sunday, 11th May, from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM, celebrating Mother’s Day in a way that truly matters—by bringing together queer individuals and their mothers for an evening of connection, conversation, and community.
What’s special?
This isn’t your typical event. It’s an informal Meet & Greet, where a few wonderful mothers of queer children will join us to talk about their journeys, the lives and concerns of the queer community, and how understanding within families can lead to deeper acceptance and love.
We invite all queer folks to bring their mums to this safe, inclusive space. Whether your mother is a fierce ally or just beginning to understand your world, this space is for you both.
Why this matters
Gay Bombay has always believed in building bridges—with society, with families, and within ourselves. This event continues our commitment to nurturing those bridges. Last month, we explored mental health and financial well-being. This month, we embrace something even more intimate—family.
We’ll also reflect on Gay Bombay’s journey and revisit a historic milestone: when GB hosted the first-ever parents’ meet in Mumbai’s LGBTQ+ community.
